Housing Counseling

For foreclosure prevention, call the Hope Now hotline at 1-888-995-HOPE.

Bankruptcy Counseling

If you are a low income earner looking for legal assistance, call Ohio Legal Services at 1-866-LAW-OHIO.
To contact a bankruptcy counselor, contact one of the approved bankruptcy counseling agencies registered with the U.S. Trustee Program at the Department of Justice.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

If you earn less than $42,000 or are age 62 or older, call 211 (from a landline only) or 1-800-TAX-1040 to ask for information on the "VITA" site closest to you.
If you have higher income, then you can still receive free income tax preparation at a local Tax Aide site (available February 1 through April 15).
